WELCOME TO DORE SANGHA
Dore is a lovely village in South West Sheffield that borders the Peak District in Derbyshire which is a place of outstanding natural beauty.
Sangha is a Sanskrit word that means "association," "assembly," "company" or "community" and is closely connected to the practice of Yoga and Mindfulness.
DORE SANGHA is a place where you can learn how to balance your mind by inspiring your senses and detoxing your mind. You can discover how to energise your body and nourish your soul, all in a beautiful simple environment.
Shanti Sahar, spiritual life coach, is the founder of DORE SANGHA. “On my travels I’ve joined many Sanghas who would meet up regularly in towns, cities and small villages for evenings, mornings, or days of learning about the art of living in harmony with oneself, with one another and with the Universe.
I regularly visited the Sotogrande Sangha in Spain where I was really able to advance my Yoga and mindfulness practice. I found a great tutor who is a personal follower of and was a family friend of Swami Satchidanda one of the major pioneers of the interfaith movement and one of the most respected Yoga Masters of our time.
Many people remember Swami Satchidanada, as the bearded man who opened the Woodstock festival in 1969. In 2018 I visited Swami Satchidanda’s Ashram and The Light of Truth Universal Shrine (LOTUS) to further my yoga and mindfulness practice. The collective energy from people that had travelled from all over the world, to honour the spirit that unites us all, was truly very special. It was from this journey and from my beautiful Sangha friends that the inspiration came to form DORE SANGHA.
Sanghas offered me a deep well of support and wisdom during my time away from the UK and kept me close to my yoga and mindfulness practice. Now that I’ve returned to the UK I’m delighted to have founded DORE SANGHA where I practice and share my love of Yoga and Energy Therapies; Yoga Therapy, CBT Mindfulness, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Light & Sound Therapy and Acupressure.
Having begun my career in Health & Wellbeing in 1998, I've developed a distinct way of expressing myself that allows visitors to DORE SANGHA to feel at ease as soon as they arrive. My group and one to one therapies enable me to assist clients in spiritual development, enhancement of lifestyle and stress and pain management. Group RAGA YOGA classes (SATSANGS) are on a donation basis only and the great news is, if you're a member of a Westfield Health Scheme you may be able to claim back 100% of the cost of your one to one therapy.
All classes, events, therapies and retreats are posted and updated regularly on the Upcoming Program Page and on Facebook too. Please note, once classes, events and therapy time slots are posted, it’s necessary to confirm your attendance via the Reservations Page as places are limited.
