Situated in a stunning location close to Chatsworth and Bakewell, The Cattle Shed, Grindleford was our location for our Freestyle Mind and Body 2019 - Peace in the Peaks Retreat. A beautifully converted old cattle shed that had the most fabulous open plan lounge dining room and outdoor terrace allowing us to enjoy spectacular views across the Hope Valley. The terrace not only provided us with the perfect space to socialise but also a super spot for our outdoor yoga and fitness classes. The indoor studio was well equipped with comfortable mats, blankets and cushions making it a peaceful haven for some great meditations and contemplative yoga and the outdoor fire pit provided the perfect spot for us to gather around under the evening stars.
Massages were provided and our guests were treated to delicious vegan fresh meals, juices and smoothies, along with some stunning early morning guided walks. Our classes were conducted by our professional team of instructors, Sarah, Amanda and Emma who demonstrate a unique holistic approach to health and wellbeing. The yoga and fitness classes on offer suited all levels. As well as yoga and fitness, creative arts were on offer every day. Our guests loved these creative sessions which provided them with an opportunity to achieve some very impressive pieces of art. Nutrition, lifestyle and wellbeing talks were also on offer and our evening entertainment allowed our guests to show off not only their artistic creations but their theatrical and musical skills too. Due to the current situation we haven’t moved forward yet with the planning of our next event. But as always I’m filled with excitement and wonderment as to what we will do next. Wherever it will be, our promise will always be to ensure that yoga philosophy and up to date sport and medical science and nutrition will always remain at the core of our teachings.
