The Magic of Massage

Sports Massage has many benefits for everyone taking part in sport, from elite sportmen and women, club athlete to the occasional player,  for those helping athletes to train more effectively,  perform better and recover more quickly from injury.  Sports Massage can also be helpful for those suffering from occupation or posture related aches and pains.

Massage treatment improves circulation and nutrition to the soft tissues enabling growth, and effective repair, and assists in the removal of waste products including lactate, the debris from tissue damage and inflammation, and excess fluid by improving lymph drainage. This helps the tissues recover more effectively from both hard training sessions and injuries.

Massage can work to improve tissue flexibility and range of movement and remodel excess scar tissue and adhesions where there have been injuries. It can reduce excess muscle tension as well as being used to stimulate muscles that are underperforming, helping to improve joint function, which can improve performance and reduce the risk of injury.
